About Mo

It all started by accident

It wasn’t until my final year of my undergraduate education that I discovered the field of Human-Computer Interaction. On track to graduating with a BS in Psychology, along with a plethora of Pre-Med courses, I stumbled upon an area that married my love for technology with my interest in understanding the human mind. In order to fulfill my major requirements, I squeezed in the Human Factors Lab, a hands-on introductory course to the field. I was instantly drawn and chased the path of a user experience professional.

Shortly after graduating, and with the mentorship of my professor, I gained admission to the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor to work toward my Masters degree in Human-Computer Interaction.

Pursuing my career has taken me out of my comfort zone as a native New Yorker. I was fortunate to experience living in Ann Arbor, MI – San Jose, CA – San Francisco, CA and Chicago, IL. There’s no telling what to expect, but all it takes is an open mind.

Doing what I love

Since 2010, I’ve worked on a variety of projects that include design, research, and development for both desktop and mobile screens. I have worked in organizations both small and large and learned a great deal at each company. Regardless of the work environment, successful designs that offer the best experience and meet goals are the ones shared early and often.

I currently live in Chicago where I work as a remote designer for the Menlo Park-based company, Quicken. Over the past several years, I have been fortunate enough to work on some of the largest, most impactful work to the Quicken Mac product.

Feel free to reach out to me if you’d like to learn more about my experiences!
